Purchasable with gift card. Gone Unbroken Leftover A Matter Of time She It's a cold night, feeling each drop of this red falling rain.

I can't remember who was there but I still remember each detail, each breath, each glance. Blood still flows on the ground. My injuries are still open, it can't stop. They left me for dead, thinking it was over. I could pretend it means nothing, I could turn away and forget about it, but I will not. Cause now I feel stronger, I feel fire. Gone is the unique debut from Leona Deakin which literally had me on the edge of my seat as I was reading it. The novel dives in to the minds of psychopaths and what it takes to be a psychopath. Four people have gone missing.

Documents & Reports

This book reminded me so much of the films, Saw, in th I was lucky enough to receive an advanced review copy of this novel by Leona Deakin and I was not disappointed with it. This book reminded me so much of the films, Saw, in the way in which each character was introduced and their personality unwrapped to the reader. However, in this book, the police do not seem to be concerned about the missing people and one of the victims turns to Dr Bloom, a criminal psychologist, and her business partner Jameson, to help unravel what is going on.

The girl thought the teacher was going to rape her, at least that is what she is telling the police. There are twists and turns throughout this novel that I did not see coming and it was a refreshing book. I really enjoyed meeting Dr Bloom and this is the making of a new favourite series! Sep 03, Debbie rated it really liked it. Four strangers are missing and each of them have one thing in common, they disappeared on their birthday.

They also received a card the day they disappeared saying 'Your gift is the game. Dare to play? The police think its all a game. But when psychologist, Augusta Bloom and her colleague, Marcus Jameson become involved when the case becomes personal, they think it's more than a game and lives may be in danger. This one was a fast moving psychological suspense and although I did guess one cruc Four strangers are missing and each of them have one thing in common, they disappeared on their birthday.

This one was a fast moving psychological suspense and although I did guess one crucial part, there were still lots of surprises. My main criticism is that you really did need to suspend your belief in some parts regarding the 'game', but aside from that a good suspense. Jul 14, Soozee rated it it was amazing. This was a gripping psychological thriller. Dr Augusta Bloom and her partner, Marcus Jameson, become involved in what starts as a missing person case. Then they discover more people have 'disappeared', on their birthday after receiving a card inviting them to participate in a 'game'.

From here the pace hots up, as they realise the 'game' has drawn in more people who have left their lives and not been seen since, and they try to determine what characteristics they share and why they wo This was a gripping psychological thriller. From here the pace hots up, as they realise the 'game' has drawn in more people who have left their lives and not been seen since, and they try to determine what characteristics they share and why they won't come home, as well as tracing the missing woman linked to Jameson's family. By half way through I was suspecting everyone of being psychopaths!

Every new character is viewed with suspicion, as we are shown that psychopaths are not all serial killers, but are able to integrate into society and manipulate people and situations for their own gain. Pacy, entertaining and keeps the reader guessing until the end, and even though I guessed the ringleader early on it did not spoil the story. Sep 26, Sue Plant rated it it was amazing. Sep 01, Jenny Hobson rated it it was ok. Four people go missing on their birthdays all with an invite to play a game. This book follows Augusta Bloom and Marcus Jameson as they delve into the lives of the 4 missing people in hopes of discovering who is inviting them to play the game and why.

Sadly this book just didn't do it for me. I loved the concept of it but for me it took too long to get going. I like thrillers to keep me gripped from the get go which I didn't feel this did. The beginning was very confusing and I don't think the f Four people go missing on their birthdays all with an invite to play a game.

Gone by Leona Deakin

The beginning was very confusing and I don't think the format of the version I recieved helped either. Was glad I got the chance to read it but sadly it just wasn't for me.

At some points i did find myself a bit confused at what was going on but generally i did enjoy it , a very pacey and unique crime thriller, that has such an interesting idea behind it.

Jul 11, Andy Angel rated it really liked it. Ah, this is more like it. Someone is recruiting people with psychopathic tendencies to 'play a game'. What's behind it and what does it have to do with our investigator leads. This was a cracking story that kept me up and kept me guessing till the early hours and I'm using the late night as an excuse for not guessing the reveal when it came. If you like crime fiction with some fresh ideas then I can't recommend this enough. Sep 26, Dawn rated it it was amazing.
